NME - Contents
The NME masthead has been placed in the top left corner of the contents page to match the style of the front cover, however is does not have the white outline and has three thin black intersections going horizontally down the nearest angle to the left of each letter. This creates a brand identity for the magazine.
The contents page uses the colour black as the main font colour with red highlights for things such as page numbers and the name of the editor-in-chief. The writing is in a sans serif font. The main image of the contents page is of the artist Jay Prince as this links to an interview inside the magazine that is part of a double page spread. In the image the artist is presented looking away from the camera which implies that the picture has been taken at an off guard moment or that he is caught in deep thought. The contents page contains an editorial written by the editor-in-chief of the magazine to send a direct message to the reader. The contents page only includes a few articles which makes it more compact and gives the reader the information they are likely to want to see.
